As we kick off 2025, the footwear and leather goods industries are evolving rapidly, with innovations reshaping design, prototyping, and manufacturing. At Strategies, we’re thrilled to introduce several exciting updates to our digital platform, including the new RCS 3D Bag module, the upcoming major 2025-V16 release, a web-based variant maker, and AI integration. These advancements are poised to speed up brands and manufacturers’ workflows while improving their reliability.
Let’s dive into these developments and their potential impact.
A game-changer for leather goods: The new RCS 3D Bag module
In Q4 2024, we launched the RCS 3D Bag module—a powerful tool that’s transforming the design and production of leather goods. Designers can now create customizable 3D models of bags, backpacks, and more. The ability to design and view products in 3D helps you bypass the heavy manual volume development (paper, cardboard) of your product. Once approved, the 2D pattern automatically powers the rest of your product development process.
Introducing our new major version: 2025-V16 of Romans CAD
Packed with powerful new features and improvements of current ones, this release will elevate the digital experience for existing and future clients. RCS 2025-V16 introduces an enhanced user interface, making the platform more intuitive and easier to navigate. Users can complete tasks faster and more accurately while keeping quality. We’ve also improved speed and performance to ensure a smoother experience overall.
Additionally, the 2025-V16 strengthens our digital platform’s integration with other systems, promoting seamless team collaboration and automatic data transfers. This update creates a more unified approach to managing workflows and driving product development by simplifying data sharing between design, production, and marketing. The web-based variant maker
Completing our current desktop Product Data Management system, RCS 2025-V16 will see the arrival of a new web-based variant maker, to facilitate remote development.
In a nutshell, 2025 will be promising for us and our clients, who remain our focus. You can count on us to keep developing our digital platform, nurture current clients and pursue new opportunities in other industries such as furniture or horse saddlery.
