testify to all manner of classic and eccentric footwear trends. Preciously guarded, they embody
the signature of each shoe brand. It is this ensemble that allows the manufacturer to combine
attractiveness and comfort, regardless of the model, trend and season.
In the footwear industry, everything starts with the last. Whether it is the shoe’s fit, style or performance,
or the lack of one of these criteria, this can usually be traced back to the last.
The sole of the last guides the creation of the midsole, the heel and all corresponding tooling.
From the body of the last, we get the fit, the silhouette, style and pattern lines.

Romans CAD 3D Last offers its users a rapid and powerful tool to create their lasts in 3D. With more than 200 features, Romans CAD 3D Last offers you the opportunity to make a limitless number of changes and
to transform and grade your lasts. Specialised features such as copying and pasting the toe,
the boot top or the sole, as well as coordination features are available.
Romans CAD 3D Last is the 3D software to create your lasts. All changes are made in 3D in order to obtain optimum accuracy. You can achieve all types of grading by applying different rules and constraints such as: coordinating the heel and/or the toe, specific grading for a boot, etc.

Romans CAD SCAN LINE
Romans CAD Scan Line is software designed to work with Romans CAD 3D Last. Very easy to use, the program allows users to create a new last from a photo of a shoe model, a hand drawing, or an image created in Photoshop©™ or equivalent.
Scan Line allows you to reduce the development time of a last or to modify an existing last. It therefore allows you to create basic lasts very early on in your artistic development (before your last-maker provides you with the definitive one), onto which you can build your future collections. Falling behind schedule will be a thing of the past.
You can use Romans CAD Scan Line to :
- Rapidly produce a new last
- Reshape the last structure
- Modify the bottom
Romans CAD LAST GRADE
With its automatic grading features, Romans CAD Last Grade is powerful, rapid and easy to use, and an extremely accurate tool.
Romans CAD Last Grade allows you to:

existing grading rules (European,
American, etc.)
- Create width rules
- Communicate with all CN machines

BESPOKE LASTS
Manufacturers of bespoke shoes as well as orthopaedists need to be able to create made-to-measure lasts.
